Do you like axes? Do you like competition? Do you like getting out and meeting people in your community? DO YOU LIKE FREE MONEY?! Welcome to the very first Central Alberta OPEN in Sylvan Lake, AB.
On May 3rd & 4th, we will host the very first Open Tournament of axe throwing, right here at our very own Wood Shed - Axe Throwing. What does "open" mean? It means literally ANYONE can join! And everyone has their shot at winning the grand prize of $300. We (Wood Shed- Axe Throwing) will organize a double elimination challenge of throwing the pointy things at the woody stuff, and have a gosh darned blast in the process.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (That no one has asked yet...)
There are only 32 Competitor spots available!
• What can you expect? Wicked awesome times, good folks & edible yum yums. Additional fee applies for all yum yums.
• How much do I pay? $50.00 + Ticketleap fees. This price includes tax.
• What will that get me? Your pass to compete, watch and take sweet photos. Plus a little swag, and YOUR CHANCE AT THE GRAND PRIZE OF $300. Also a free pass to the after-party, which may or may not be wicked awesome (disclaimer: it may be 3 people drinking excellent craft beer at 10pm).
• Do I need my own axe? Nope! We've got some stuff and some things. We just can't guarantee exactly what you want, exactly when you want it.
• Do I have to use Ticketleap? Yup. Yup you do. (link to register in bio)
• What does Double Elimination mean? It means you can lose and STILL WIN THE DOLLARS! Just don't lose twice. That's a problem.
• What's the full prize list? 1st Place: $300 ; 2nd Place: $250 (LUCID Tattoo) ; 3rd Place: $100
• How long do I have to decide where or not I want to attend THE SWEETES OF ALL THE SWEET EVENTS EVER? Ticket sales end April 25th at 11:30pm.
DISCLAIMER: Event only happens with a registration of 20 or more by the deadline, April 25th. If this minimum is NOT MET, we will cancel the event. This is the only time a refund will be given.

Friday May 3rd from 6 PM - 10 PM Qualifying Throws
(8 Games - 10 throws)
Saturday May 4th 10 AM - 2 PM Double Elimination Tournament
Additional Prize Drawings during the Tournament. Spectator seats are limited. Please purchase a ticket to be admitted to the tournament.
